About me

I am currently a first year graduate student persuing Master of Data Sicence degree at Columbia University. I am interested in recommender systems and data privacy. Previous experiences have opened the door of data science for me, and I am really passionate about persuing a professional career in related fields in the near future.

Previous work and research experiences

• Full-time Algorithm Intern - Tencent, Beijing
  During the summer of 2019, I worded as an algorithm intern at Tencent PCG where I implemented a content based recall algorithm for short form video recommendations during my internship at Tencent Video, mainly using Scala and Spark.

• Research Assistant - Tsinghua University, Beijing
  I have been a research assistant of Fib-Lab at Tsinghua University, under the guidance of Prof. Yong Li and have participated in research projects covering topics of differential privacy and recommender systems.

• Research Assistant - University of Southern California, Los Angeles
  During the summer of 2018, I have been a research assistant of InfoLab at Univerisity of Southern California, under the guidance of Prof. Cyrus Shahabi. During my stay there, I mainly worked on a data-driven mobility visualization project.

Education

• M.S. in Data Science - Columbia University
  Currently pursing my master degree of Data Science at Columbia. Expected to graduate at Dec. 2020.

• B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering - Tsinghua University
  I graduated from Tsinghua University with a Bachelor of Engineering in July 2019, majoring in Electronic Engineering.
